Including employee’s children takes some creativity. Luckily with a little imagination, you can throw this type of
party right in the office and save yourself some money on a venue. A vendor like Embellished Events,
http://www.thepartybuilder.com/vxi68/Embellished_Events,
can help with the setup or cleanup. Or you may have some employees who are willing to work at the party.
If you have a big enough office building, you can make a maze through a block of cubes using decorative paper and
garland as a "velvet-rope" through which children can emerge in Santa’s workshop. Have an executive play Santa and
either hire a photographer www.thepartybuilder.com or have an employee take pictures with a digital camera
of each child with Santa to be emailed or sent back to the employee or posted on a web site.
You can find Santa costumes at http://www.party411.com/christmas-santa-costumes.html
and appropriate holiday decorations at The Party Builder's Party Rentals Section,
www.partysupplieshut.com or http://www.party411.com/corporate_events.html.
Consider ordering reusable custom banners like "Happy Holidays to All" to add to the ambiance of this and future holiday parties.
Consider removing the tables from your largest conference room and setting up rows of seats. Then decorate the room
with snow flakes, holiday borders and banners, http://www.homeroomteacher.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=693
, and use your presentation screen and laptop to rent a classic holiday DVD. Give your employees a private showing of a holiday
classic. www.netflix.com or www.Blockbuster-free.com. For large crowds, have employees sign up for the showing they
would like to attend ahead of time and book multiple showings. Depending on the size of the room and crowd, you may be
able to show something new like Pixar’s Polar Express or you may need to limit the time spent and show something shorter,
but timeless, such as Dr. Suess’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or Jim Henson’s Christmas Carol, featuring The Muppets.
Have employees sign up the number of children they are bringing and their ages and perhaps find a small inexpensive
and age-appropriate gift to give to each child. Or simply make a goody bag to give to each attendant as they leave
using custom candy bar wrappers from Party 411, http://www.party411.com/corporate_events.html. A favor
bag for children and a favor bag for adults is a nice touch.
